How to activate WhatsApp Business API (deprecated)
This flow is retired. Use **Create a WhatsApp Cloud channel**.
- Open Meta for Developers and click My apps.
- Create app. Type Other, then Business. Name, email and the fields it asks.
- In WhatsApp API setup, add the number as a test number. It cannot sit on another WhatsApp account. Meta's FAQ covers deleting the app account.
- Confirm by SMS or call.
- On the company, Channels tab, create a WhatsApp Cloud channel and fill the IDs from the Meta screen.
- Copy App Access Token and System User Access Token from the app settings.
- Check the channel shows connected and send Meta's test message.
