How to configure a post-execution action rule

A post-execution action rule defines what happens after the contact chooses the last option in a terminal submenu. Configure it before activating the chatbot.

Prerequisite: the chatbot must already be created. See "How to create a chatbot" if needed.

  1. In the left menu, go to Modules > Chatbot and edit the chatbot with the pencil icon.
  2. In General settings on the left, pick the Default post-execution action rule. It applies to all new submenus you create.
  3. Set the Maximum attendance time without response (0 to 360 hours) to automatically close chats with no activity.
  4. In the rule list, edit (pencil) or delete (trash) existing rules.
  5. Click + to create a new rule:

- Name it. - Choose the action type: Go to specific menu, Go to parent menu, Repeat menu options, End chat, Agent transfer, or Desk transfer.

  1. Click Save.
  2. To apply the rule, select a submenu, go to Advanced options, and choose the post-execution rule you created.

Post-execution action rules only exist in submenus that have no derived submenus.
