How to connect a Facebook and Instagram channel

Prerequisites

• Your Business Manager must be verified to receive Instagram chats. See: Verify your business in Business Settings.
• Your Instagram account must be linked to your Facebook Page. See: Add an Instagram account to your Facebook Page.

Set up the channel

1. In the left menu, go to Admin > Companies > Edit.
2. Go to the Channels tab and click Add.
3. Enter a name for the channel, select type Facebook, and click Save.
4. Click Connect next to the channel you just created.
5. Click Sign in with Facebook.

Important: check that the page URL starts with https://facebook.com/ before entering any credentials.

1. Sign in with your Facebook credentials.
2. Select the Instagram account you want to link and click Next.
3. Select the Facebook Page and click Next.
4. Leave all permissions checked and click Done. Unchecking any permission may cause an activation error.
5. On the next screen, click OK.
6. Return to the platform, select your account on the connection screen, and click OK.

The channel is ready to receive conversations from Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct.
